INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT & INVESTMENT PROMOTION (IDIPD)

APPRENTICESHIP, EMPLOYMENT & LABOUR MARKET (AELM)

As Secretariat for the Apprenticeship Council, the division administers the Trade Testing and certification, as well as the Apprenticeship Scheme and Job Placement services. It is the ILO's focal point in Samoa.  more
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH and WORK PERMITS (IROSH&WP)

The Division advises government on policy matters relating to industrial relations, occupational safety and health, and requirements of the Shops Ordinance, as well as advising employers and workers on their rights and obligations.  more

Apprenticeship Crermony

On Friday the 8th of August, the Apprenticeship Council of Samoa proudly presents the Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony for 2008. This year will see over 30 graduates from across 9 trades, and will be held at the Tooa Salamasina Hall in Sogi, starting at 10:30am.

IP Seminar

Raising awareness of copyright and related rights was the aim of a high-level seminar which took place in Samoa on 24 and 25 April 2008. Organised by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in collaboration with Samoa’s Ministry Commerce, Industry and Labour (MCIL).
