Welcome to RCIP. Our Division is responsible for Registration of Companies and Intellectual Property (IP), and provides advice and data on companies and other legal entities to various users. As one of the focal points for the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) we process applications and co-ordinate consultations on copyright, trade mark and intellectual property issues. more

Major Events in 2010:
26 April: World Intellectual Property Day.
30 June: Last day of the Transitional Period of Re-registration of existing company under the Company's Amendment Act 2006.

Trainings:
Last year 2009, Ms Kolone Maisa, Senior Intellectual Property Officer was awarded with an award to undertake training at the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand (IPONZ) in Wellington, New Zealand. The opportunity has offered Ms Maisa the chance to be trained, taught and up-skilled in research services and examination with regards to intellectual property matters, mainly trademarks.
The training program paved the way for the development of the Registries Staff with the view of exchanging ideas and knowledge in the processing and examination of Intellectual Property. Also the training helped Ms Maisa to imrpove her roles as a senior IP Officer in providing efficient and quality examination and processing of intellectual property applications for Patents, Trade Marks and Industrial Designs.
Ms Maisa acknowledged the IPONZ for hosting and providing trainings in collaboration with the New Zealand Aid- Short term training Program.
